Trapware Corporation was established in 1999 to enhance and empower a computer user's ability to protect and guard his or her privacy. The company was founded by two software engineers (the "Founders"). The Founders began plans for a new software product that was needed by computer users to check their systems for snoopers (programs installed by someone else to monitor and/or eavesdrop on a computer user's activities). After numerous discussions, planning sessions and development meetings, the Founders established Trapware to develop, market and sell the first software snooper detector of its kind to computer users everywhere.
Trapware's first product, Who's Watching Me? (patent pending), has been in development since at least 1999. A number of new and exciting Trapware products are in development. At the present time, all Trapware products focus on privacy and security issues faced by computer users almost daily.
